How they claim it

From your checkout to their passport

No codes to type, no account needed to buy. Here's exactly what happens.

You check outEnter their name, their US shipping address and an optional message. Choose whole bean or ground and decaf if they like.
You get a claim linkYour order confirmation page shows a private claim link. Copy it, email it or write it on the gift certificate.
They claim their passportThey open the link and create a passport with their email and a password (or log in to one they already have).
They collect stampsEach month they log the new bag, collect that origin's stamp, rate it and keep notes only they can see.

Gift questions

When does the first box arrive?

The first box ships right after you buy the gift and usually arrives in about a week. After that, one box ships each month until the prepaid months are used up.

What's the last day to order for Christmas?

Order by December 15 for the best chance of the first box arriving before Christmas. Ordering later? Buy the gift, then print or email our free gift certificate so they have something to open on the day; the coffee follows by mail.

Can I choose the start date?

Not yet: the first box ships as soon as you order. If you'd like it to arrive close to a birthday or holiday, order about a week before.

Does a gift subscription renew?

No. Gifts are prepaid for 3, 6 or 12 months ($84, $159 or $299) and simply end. There's nothing to cancel and no card is charged again.

What do I need at checkout?

Their name and US shipping address, plus an optional gift message. You also choose whole bean or ground and whether every bag should be decaf.

How does the recipient claim their passport?

After checkout you get a private claim link on the confirmation page. Copy it or email it (or write it on the printable certificate). They open it, create their passport with an email and password, then log each bag to collect stamps.

Can they change grind, decaf or address later?

Yes. Once they've claimed the gift, they can switch between whole bean and ground, turn decaf on or off and update the shipping address for the next boxes from their account.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. Coffee Passport Club ships to US addresses only, and shipping is always free.

Will they get the same coffee every month?

No. Each month brings the next coffee in our rotation, so a 3-month gift is three different coffees and a 6-month gift is six. If you choose decaf, every bag is our water-process decaf from Sumatra.
